The Dance of Death or Danse Macabre has been interpreted and reinterpreted extensively throughout history - a sort of the art world's cover song.
These designs are from David Deuchar (1788), himself copying another artist, who himself was copying Hans Holbein’s dance of death. This skeleton drummer can be found in "The Noblewoman".
Antiqued silver metal pin. Limited edition of 100. Double posted. Measures 2" tall x 0.7" wide.
